The answers to your questions will come from my intuition, visions and experience, in addition to my spirit guides. My main guide is “Heyoak” a Hopi Clown in a former life. But in my shamanic journeys I also work with a spirit animal council consisting of wolf, bear, raven, owl, deer, eagle and spider among others.
Your questions will help me develop a teleseminar on Spirituality and I want to make sure that it meets your information needs. In answering your questions, I will share what I am given by my guides, if it does not “fit” with your perspective, then, take what you want and leave the rest. But please post a comment on my blog and we can have an exchange of ideas. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you..
Q. What is a soul?
A. Our higher self, the part of us that leaves when our physical body dies/ceases to function. The soul is our connection to the Creator and All That Is.
Q. Do animals have souls?
A. My intuitive guidance says “yes.”
Q. Is there a difference between spirituality and religion?
A. First of all, you do not have to be religious to be spiritual, or spiritual to be religious, but you can be both or neither.
Spirituality is an individualized belief system in a non-human higher power which we are a part of. It also carries with it a personal perspective on how to live and behave to honor and connect with that power.
Religion is a set belief system with a pattern of requirements on how to live, believe and behave. Most religions have a mankind determined hierarchical structure of management of the system and its followers, e.g. priests, ministers, administrators. Also, depending on the religion in question, there is a belief in a higher power/God/ Creator who must be worshiped to gain enlightenment.
